Another radio? Again? What the fuck is that?
The bullshit version : a mobile sound platform exploring the relationship between sound, space and presence.
The real version : an excuse to throw events, parties, and concepts for our city.
Our goal? Push Brussels' culture forward. Our targets? Brussels & our friends. Vision? Who gives a fuck.
ORIGINS
The project started long before the first edition of SOUND:ON.
It all started with GREEN-IN x HANGAR: 4,000 people, Folamour as headliner, and the Atomium in the background. Our first real collaboration with Côme, integrating our Green Village through Nectar’s presence.
From unknown to collaborator.
Then came The Juicebox in 2022 : a first attempt, a prototype. a second-hand thrift shop pop-up with music at its core. Not fully formed yet, but already heading in the right direction.
From collaborator to friend.
Four years later, he came back and said: “Hamza, let’s do something in the shop. You’ve got carte blanche.” My answer was simple "fuck yes" and SOUND:ON just clicked.
From friend to brother.
THE FIRST EDITION
We launched a 12-hour streaming in one of Brussels' hottest second-hand spots. A line-up built with our friends, not-friends-who-became-friends, and people we admire. We ended it with a secret afterparty that became the unofficial highlight of the day.
TEAM
Lucas, through PAGEO, shaped the DNA of the project. Defining the visual identity and elevating it at every step.
Côme gave us the initial push. First collaborator, now fully part of the journey.
Hamza, founder and serial viber but you already know that shit.
ECOSYSTEM
A circle of people and places that made SOUND:ON possible.
SONO VENTURA RECORDS : Vinyl record shop run by Brussels’ favorite uncle.
CREVETTE RECORDS : Vinyl record shop located on the same street as Nectar. Vision approved by the boss himself.
HIN RECORDS : Family, pure hearts, real diggers and, no less, the afterparty MVPs.
FLORA : Broskis providing the DJ booth and the flowiest beers for our artists.
LOVIBOND : Long-term mates, collaborating since 2017.
RESYNE : Blessed our scenography with a sustainable floral approach.
EMU : Provided the sound system, gracias papi.
