I Just Met Ronaldinho
A personal reflection after three months travelling across South America and a chance encounter with the legend himself.

I've just spent two weeks in Rio de Janeiro with my sister, and it was pure bliss to spend time with her in this part of the world. I left home three months ago for a 12-month mission in South America, and she brought a little piece of home with her. Bless you, Nini.
On our last day, while dropping her at the airport, something meaningful happened. As I was handling the luggage, I saw Ronaldinho walking towards me.
For those who may not know, he is one of the greatest football players of all time. That guy was pure genius and always had a smile on his face. He revived a broken FC Barcelona and helped shape a player called Lionel Messi. He basically inspired an entire generation to play football and I was part of it.
When I realized he was walking towards me, I waited for our eyes to meet. When they did, I didn't ask for a picture or anything, I simply told him: "Ronnie, te quiero" with a very teenage voice. We exchanged a smile - one of those special ones - and he went on his way.
A couple of days later, after coming down from my little cloud, I started reflecting and wanted to share this story with my surroundings. But how? I felt like I my own creative space and that's when I came up with the idea of building this website. My thought was: how lucky are we to be out there, discovering the world and experiencing moments like this? I sometimes forget that, especially after travelling intensely but this moment made that reflection feel timeless.
It can get difficult at times: being alone, far from home, not always enjoying the experience, or going through emotional chaos. But let's enjoy these moments even when we go through tough ones.
Life deserves to be lived and I'll do it fully.
Thank you for taking the time to read these lines. Take care, fam.
PS: For those asking, I'm doing great. I'm incredibly lucky to be out here. However, difficult moments can feel heavier when you are alone and far from loved ones. Still, this is a unique experience, and I feel changes are happening especially on the creative side of me which is exactly what I was looking for.
