Context
SOUND:ON is an experimental sound platform exploring the relationship between sound, space, and presence. It operates as a mobile and evolving format that transforms physical locations into temporary listening environments where music, broadcasting, and artistic experimentation intersect. Rather than a traditional event series, the project focuses on activating spaces through sound and reshaping how audiences engage with cultural environments.
What I'm building
The first edition of SOUND:ON took the form of a 12-hour live broadcast featuring a lineup of Brussels-based artists, transforming a physical space into a continuous listening and transmission environment. The format combined DJ sets, live radio, and spatial activation, turning the venue into a hybrid between event, installation, and broadcast studio. The second edition took place in Brazil in collaboration with the Volatil crew, further developing the format in a new cultural context.
Impact
SOUND:ON functions as a flexible cultural tool to activate spaces through sound and community. Each edition is built in collaboration with local artists and cultural actors, forming temporary ecosystems around music, broadcasting, and shared experience. Its impact lies in its ability to transform non-traditional spaces into cultural moments, while creating bridges through sound.
