Waking Life
35 degrees, dust storms and lifetime memories. Still processing what happened there.

THE JOURNEY
Walking from the camping to the festival, whether by tchoutchou, bike, or barefoot, the goal was always the same: reach the lago and keep looping around it.
Reaching outro lado, crossing to Floresta by pulling ourselves on the boat, napping in Mimo, getting lost in the Suna. Every part of the festival felt like something new.
From hidden spots to known places, everything felt endless.
THE LAGO
People say the lago is a reflection of ourselves. I didn't fully understand that at first, but I understand it a bit more now.
Watching the sunrise, swimming in it, sitting through the sunset, the lago was the center of everything. People moved like ants or sat still and watched. For six days, it became a different and powerful gravity center altogether.
My body is not there anymore, but my mind still keeps going back. After all, water is life, nè?
PEOPLE
What a feeling to be surrounded by so many free spirits. I've rarely experienced something like that, something deeply anchored in the present and, above all, something real.
It allowed us to unleash our true selves and connect with ourselves to better connect with others. Dancing without caring, talking to anyone without fear, connecting without opportunistic thoughts.
My favorite part? Treating unknowns as if they were friends and treating my friends as if they were family.
PERSONAL NOTE
I celebrated my 30th during the festival surrounded by close friends, after five months in South America away from home, family, and friends. It felt like a much-needed reset.
But let's be real: the festival was not a paradise, but rather a deep personal and collective experience. There were many things that were not ideal at all: drug abuse and, most importantly, the loss of a soul on the last day.
It was my first time at WK, and somehow I felt that things were not the same anymore. However, I still had the opportunity to experience it, and I feel grateful for that.
Thank you all, you beautiful freaks. <3
